Life Enrichment Activities & Programs

With dozens of scheduled activities every month, there is always something to do at Chandler Place. Our full-time life enrichment director plans a wide variety of events for every interest and talent. The following activities are just a few our residents enjoy. As activities can vary from month-to-month, please check out our resident activity calendar for the current month's activity schedule.

Regularly Scheduled Activities:

• "Let's Exercise" – Offered five days a week, these exercises are designed for residents of all abilities to preserve range of motion and flexibility
• Bingo – Cover-all, four square or traditional – it's always fun to Bingo!
• Bunco – A local favorite with dice and lots of chatter
• Polish Poker – It's about the dice and the cards – anyone can join in
• Card games – 500, Cribbage, Bridge
• Table games – Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Dominos and more
• Chandler University – Travelogues, politics, health related issues, music appreciation – exciting speakers, exciting and educational topics
• Choir – Bring your voices and love for music and join the Chandler Choir
• Happy hour and piano bar – Once a week, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and lots of snacks. Join our "piano man" and sing along with your favorite tunes
• Interfaith service – Offered by our in-house chaplain once a week and by rotating local community churches every Sunday afternoon
• Bible study – An interfaith program led by our in-house chaplain
• News & Views – Current events class providing in-depth information and forum for discussion
• Coffee social – Every Saturday and Sunday in our main lobby
• Movie and Popcorn – Join us for a favorite movie on our big screen TV and fresh popped popcorn
• Resident Council – Every resident is a member of the Resident Council so plan to attend and have a voice
• Monthly meeting with the executive director – Once a month, all residents are invited to attend a meeting with our executive director – a great way to hear about the latest and greatest news at Chandler Place
• Blood pressure clinic – Offered at no charge to our residents by our on-site home care agency, Chandler Home Health Care
